Dr. Maqsood A. Chaudhry
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Maqsood Chaudhry earned a degree in Dental Surgery from West Virginia University’s School of Dentistry in 1991 followed by a one-year General Practice Residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs in West Virginia in 1992, but his dental education did not stop there. He studied implantology and completed a one-year comprehensive training in all phases of Dental Implantology with the Howard University Dental Implant Seminars in 2000, a program sponsored by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also completed courses with The United States Institute of Implant Dentistry and has since been a certified member of The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American College of Oral Implantology since 2001.
In 2010 he was recognized for comprehensive training course completion in CEREC CAD-CAM by Patterson Dental, a revolutionary technology that can fabricate crowns and restorations with computer guided precision.
Prior to this Dr. Chaudhry studied orthodontics and was recognized by The United States Dental Institute for completion of all Orthodontic Seminars and Lectures in 1994. Additionally he is a certified provider of Invisalign and Clear Correct: a clear aligner therapy. Dr. Chaudhry is a recipient of the Invisalign Innovator Award, awarded by Align Technologies in 2003 and recognized as a Premier Provider by Invisalign in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He has been a member of the American Association for Functional Orthodontics and the Appliance Therapy Practitioners Association.
Active in his community Dr. Chaudhry has been a member of the Rotary Club of McLean, the Paul Harris Club, and Unity Production Foundation. He was awarded with a National Leadership Award by the National Republican Congressional Committee in 2006 and with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic on April 6, 1995. Additionally Dr. Chaudhry was an honorary chairman of the Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee and he holds membership with many dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, The National Society of Dental Practictioners, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Chaudhry also currently serves as a committee member and partner of the Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) Health Advisory Committee, providing significantly discounted dental services to underprivileged families. The NVFS aids over 20,000 individuals annually providing services such as safe housing, medical and dental care.
Dr. Chaudhry enjoys tennis and swimming. He is married and lives in northern Virginia with his wife and their five wonderful children.
Dr. Sang Lee
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Diplomat, American Board of Orthodontics
Dr. Sang Lee completed his undergraduate studies at the Virginia Commonwealth University graduating in 1999 Magna Cum Laude. He remained in the Commonwealth for his dental education and graduated from the VCU School of Dentistry in 2005 again graduating Magna Cum Laude. During his time at VCU Dr. Lee was a four-time recipient of the Dental School Merit Scholarship, a seven-time Dean's List student and a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Society. During his studies at the dental school, his interest was sparked by the field of orthodontics and he decided to pursue a specialty program. After graduating from the School of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery he applied and was accepted to the prestigious orthodontics program in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Lee was joined at the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas by only three other dental graduates from across the country. This program prides itself in being nationally recognized for excellence through advanced technology, outstanding education, research, and community service. His two-year graduate program integrated biomedical sciences, clinical sciences and professional studies earning him a certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Lee is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and served on the UNLV Orthodontics Program Student Council and Admissions Committee.
After completing his program, Dr. Lee returned to the Commonwealth of Virginia to begin private practice in the field of Orthodontics. and became a Certified Invisalign provider. He spent much of his academic career volunteering with many organizations including the Give Kids A Smile Program, Health Kids, Health Smiles and other dental health fairs. He is married and was blessed with one rambunctious daughter that keeps a smile on his face. Also an avid tennis player and indoor rock climber, Dr. Lee is an energetic addition to the Grove Dental Team.
Dr. Rukhsana Waqar

Doctor of Dental Surgery
In 2000 Dr. Rukhsana Waqar moved to New Jersey to attend dental school at the New York University College of Dentistry. Throughout her time there she maintained the status of an honor student and graduated on the Dean’s List. Since graduating in 2004 she has loved the profession more with each passing year and in particularly enjoys the fields of oral surgery and endodontics.
Dr. Waqar’s interest in dentistry began overseas in Pakistan where she obtained a Bachelor in Dental Surgery and received many awards for outstanding achievement. She always desired to aid the underprivileged and spent several months volunteering at various dental facilities following her education.
Married for nearly 30 years, Dr. Waqar and her husband have one wonderful son. She moved to Virginia shortly after earning her degree from NYU and joined the team at Grove Dental.
Dr. Mostafa Baha
Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Baha graduated from Boston’s Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in the Class of 1992 during which time he served as a Staff Writer for the school’s Dental Outlook Magazine. He then pursued a summer program at Harvard University in Transmission Electron Microscopy. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
He has worked with many organizations including the South East Asian Conference on Preventative Medicine and the United Nations Dental Plaza. He is an active volunteer for U.N.I.C.E.F. and the Ame rican Red Cross, but above all of his experiences he considers working with autistic children in New York to have been the most rewarding.
Dr. Baha lives with his wife in Northern Virginia and enjoys traveling, tennis, cooking and painting. Known for his passion for Indian classical music, Dr. Baha has been an avid student of the sitar for many years.
Dr. Sultan Chaudhry
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Sultan Chaudhry graduated on the Dean’s List from the Howard University College of Dentistry in 2010. He served in many organizations during his tenure including as the Chairman of the HUCD Inter-Organizational Council and as the Dental School’s Student Council President during his fourth year.
Dr. Chaudhry addressed his Dental College at its 2010 Graduation Ceremony where he received several awards including: the Delta Dental Leadership Award, the ASDA Annual Award of Excellence and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award for academic excellence. He has spoken at many events including as a guest speaker at the American Dental Education Association’s Millennial Panel and the host of the HUCD Annual Awards Ceremony in 2009 and again in 2010.
Born in Washington D.C., Dr. Chaudhry completed his undergraduate studies at The George Washington University earning a Bachelor Degree in Religious Studies. He studied Shotokan, a Japanese style of karate, for nearly a decade achieving the rank of 8 Kyu 3rd Dan. Prior to serving as the Vice President for the GW MSA, he was trained as an Emergency Medical Technician in the District and served as a Lead Instructor for CPR/AED with the GWU Police Department.
Dr. Chaudhry has volunteered his time towards many humanitarian causes in the metropolitan area including serving as the Student Director of the D.C. Dental Society’s Annual Give Kids A Smile Program in 2010 and with Mariam’s Kitchen providing meals to the homeless in DC.
Dr. Chaudhry was married in 2009 and, along with his wife, enjoys cycling and skiing.

Senada Batakovic
Chief Dental Assistant
After completing her dental laboratory technician education in 1974, Senada married and moved to the Northern Virginia area. She has been a driving force behind Grove Dental and has helped it become the practice it is today. She has been blessed with two wonderful children and two beautiful granddaughters. Senada enjoys spending time with her family and has become livelong friends with many patients of Grove Dental.
Ghotai Aziz
Dental Assistant, Orthodontics
Ghotai is highly experienced dental assistant who has been working at the Grove Dental Clinic for several years. During this time, she has seen the office go through many great transformations. She enjoys working patients and helping them in any way she can. She believes strongly that patient education is key for successful at home care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
